Thanks for reading everyone. This week has been really exciting for many reasons, the crowning of which was the Baptism of Peighton!!!!!!
Peighton: SATURDAY WAS THE BAPTISM OF PEIGHTON. AND, IT WAS AMAZING. It was a wonderful program and it was spectacular to see everyone from the ward, from her seminary classes, and others, come and support her in making this big decision in her life. I'm thankful for the opportunity I had to teach her, because if it was someone else, it would've happened just a surely, for she was prepared. She has really grown as a person and seeing her baptism and confirmation the next day really attested to that fact. She can now receive the blessings about the companionship of the Holy Ghost that we have talked about since the first visit. Pictures are below.
Planners: This week was transfers and with it, new planners. Not much happened this week other than transfers and Peighton's Baptism so talking about planners a little bit. Each new transfer, using the Gospel Art Book, we take pictures and put them on the front of our planners. Last transfer, my first one, I didn't do one, but this time , I did. I picked the picture of the Angel appearing to the shepherds in the fields and sharing with them great tidings of Joy.
Transfers and District changes: So there have been some changes with the District and stuff, and it all starts last Wednesday. My companion, Elder Bramwell, is starting a new district, with Us and two companionships of Sisters. The other Rexburg missionaries are in the other district, which comprises the BYU-I sisters and stuff. Because there is a lot of work in Rexburg, this is not a joke, more missionaries are coming in. But me, since i'm still in Training, am staying for now. I will probably be staying for two or three more transfers here, because after Elder Bramwell leaves, i will need to train the new missionary on the Area.
Personal Study: I've shared about reading in Jesus the Christ before but this past week, i finished it! All of those complicated works and phrases were no match for me. It was wonderful and in a couple of transfer I will read it again, but this next time will mark and take notes on everything going on, because it is spectacular.
In Book of Mormon reading in the past week, and today, was Ether. This morning I read Ether 12. Ether 12:27, which is a wonderful inspiration to keep on going and praying and working, was because Moroni thought he was weak and was asking God why he did not make him strong in writing. Read the whole chapter, which is full of scripture on Faith.
27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.
Thank you so much for the week and the pictures are below.
Love y'all,
Elder Baker
