Transfers

Hey Y'all, Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We got transfer calls last night and with everything that has happened it has been a lot of change in a month's time. President Monson passed away and President Nelson will be ordained, We had a new ward created, transfers, all sorts of stuff. Through it all though, I know that the thing that brings the most purpose in life and the most lasting happiness is through following Christ and making our family the next Priority.

Transfers: So I am staying here in Lincoln/Ammon for a least another transfer. My new companion is Elder Estrada, who is from Guatemala. I've known him for quite a while and he is an obedient, hard working missionary and it is going to be a blast. He is joining me here and we are moving apartments. For the past 4 transfers we've stayed in one place, but are now moving in with another set of Elders. Elder Wheelock is going up to Rexburg Bilingual, my first area in the mission. I'm staying a Zone Leader. Lots of fun changes that will bring a lot of miracles.

Exchanges: I got to go on another exchange with Elder Thompson and we had a miracle. We haven't heard about from Antolin or been able to catch him home in the last month and a half, and as we were leaving the church from eating dinner, we felt it was a good time to get gas. Then right before we turned to get gas, we felt to go see Antolin. For the first time in that month and a half, we found him home and got to teach him. He had started reading in the Book of Mormon again and he had a question about a scripture that talked about stirring up in the ways of remembrance. After picking up another job and not having the time to meet with us, he stopped reading, stopped praying, and he just got more and more stressed out. He has started to feel that hole and now that he is starting again, he is feeling the peace that comes from Jesus Christ come back into his life. Amazing Day!!!!

New Callings/ Church: Church was amazing. We had the Olivas come to the Spanish Branch and they loved Fast and Testimony Meeting. Then in the Lincoln 2nd Ward we had a miracle. Tons of Less Active members we have been visiting, have previously visited, came to Church! 7 People came, and 4 out of the 7 got up and bore their testimonies. It was one of the most powerful fast and testimony meetings I have ever attended. Elder Wheelock also bore his testimony, which turned out to be the departing testimony he left with the ward. In that ward we also have a new High Priest Group Leadership, new Relief Society Presidency, new Young Men's Presidency, new Young Womens' Presidency, and a new Ward Mission Leader. Lots of change, with transfers and all. It will be a ton of blessings that follow the diligent work.

It has been amazing over the past few months to serve here. Great things are coming.
Love y'all, I pray for y'all daily.
Love,
Elder Baker
