Sick Me, Sick Music, Sick Devotionals

Hola

Each section is in order of least exciting to most exciting (roughly)

Hermano Trejo: The teacher that is amazing is leaving us. He started college this past week so he is no longer our teacher in the afternoon and our morning teacher, Hermano Osorio is also leaving us because teachers are getting changed around and everything because of the school year starting.

Sickness: I got sick. So on Wednesday i woke up and immediately afterwards had some Diarrhea. Thought everything was fine until later that day when my stomach was hurting and i had nausea. Went to the clinic and got it checked out and the possibilites were either something i ate and 24 hour flu, or it could be intestinal flu. welllll, when i woke up in the morning i was still feeling it so i went back and found out that it wasssss intestinal flu, joy. Still been able to go to class and today im feeling well enough to go to the temple, but if my prayer was to lose weight here, i think i've been accomplishing that. My intestines are inflamed so i cant tell by belt buckle, but i have only eaten less in the past two and a half days than i would in a normal days lunch and dinner, but water and diluted Gatorade have helped.

Mexican Independence Day: This was last night, the 15th of September. We've been hearing about the day for a couple of weeks but the bulletin this week contained a different schedule for yesterday. It said we had a MID Ceremony, which we all took to mean as a party. it was too bad that i couldnt eat anything yesterday because they kicked out some pretty good looking food for the celebration. Then that night we went into the auditorium and the night was very similar to the byu international dance team that we watched at nauvoo. After we had an opening prayer and song, we watched a video about the start of the revolution in Mexico, and thennnn a dance crew danced cultural dances ranging from Aztecan to Rancheros. Then afterwards there was this rousing chant and singing their independence song. It is safe to say that with there being latinos and some mexicans in the audience it got pretty rousing and crazy. It is safe to say that it is the most partying and craziness that we partook in is the craziest we will ever been on our missions. One of the best parts was the orchestra group playing with them. They had an accordion for the last sets, and the violins were on point. But the best instrument of them all was the all electric standup bass that one of them played. It made me very happy to say the least, too bad it wasnt pday i could ask to play it afterwards. Because i was sick i didn't have very much trouble falling asleep amid all of the fireworks for the independence day.

Devotionals: So I talked about having an apostle devotional last week, buttttt. We had two more this past week. One on Sunday and one on Tuesday. The speaker on the Sunday devotional was M. Russel Ballard and the one on Tuesday was Quentin L. Cook. Starting with Sunday, M. Russel Ballard's whole talk was by the spirit and it was amazing. It was about putting myself into the work, and understanding whose mission it is. I can do miracles and the whole time I was listening to the devotional i had the spirit testifying that M. Russel Ballard is a Prophet. I wrote more notes, but dont have the time right now to write it all down. On tuesday Quentin L Cook talked about PMG, love, and the atonement. We have our companions and Mission Presidents for a reason. He spoke about the fact that sometimes when they are assigning missionaries to missions, which he said never gets old or has the spirit not there, they assign missionaries to the mission presidents becuase they need to work under them. Then with love he talked about the four loves that we are supposed to and need to havewhile we are on our missions. 1. Love your Companion, 2. Love the People, 3. Love  your mission President, 4. Love the Lord. There is nothing that i could be doing that is more important than being on a mission. I cannot even express the wonderful blessing it has been to recieve 3 apostalic blessings for me in one week.

P.S. We go to the temple again today, and last time someone in our district got the nicest and most comfortable white pants he had ever worn, so we are going to try and find them again and figure out what brand they are.

Adios my Peoples,
