Zone Conference: We had Elder Dube of the Seventy come to our mission this past week. Some of the highlights. So on wednesday we had a leadership meeting with him and he taught us about principles about Christlike Leadership. One of the major things of power that he spoke about what the example that we need to have. This morning in studying in the Book of Mormon I had something that went along with this in 3 Nephi 18.
16 And as I have prayed among you even so shall ye pray in my church, among my people who do repent and are baptized in my name. Behold I am the light; I have set an example for you.
24 Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up—that which ye have seen me do. Behold ye see that I have prayed unto the Father, and ye all have witnessed.
There is power in a good Christlike example. On Friday we had zone conference and one of the major things was his use of the scriptures and how important teaching was. We can teach with power and authority the truths of the Gospel because we hold the authority of God to preach the Gospel. It was a wonderful experience and his testimony was very very strong.
Diligence: I was reviewing how the area has been doing and it was amazing to see how a lot of hard work has paid off and God has blessed us with a lot of new investigators, and then I became a little complacent. It's amazing to see the important of working diligently to the end, and that is what we'll be doing the rest of this transfer. Great things will continue to happen. People are progressing towards baptism and people are returning to activity. Great things are happening.
Exchanges: I went on exchanges with Elder Thompson again this week and I got to be in a walking area for the day. Got to work out my legs, and we got to eat dinner with someone who's sister lives in the Johns Creek Ward Boundaries. Fun stuff.
Thanks for everything. It was an amazing week. Continuing prayers help out more than y'all will ever know. It's great to serve the Lord Jesus Christ every day.
Love,
Elder Baker
