Smartphones: So on each district meeting this past week we spent about 2 hours avg to set up all of the smartphones in the zone, to get the software on, and show the basic applications that we are going to use. We gave all of the old phones to the office staff and got to start using all of the tools more. Now all of the reports are on LDS tools, we have our planners and area books online, and we are starting to use Facebook. Nothing else more for that, although the time to set up all of the phones was a little annoying, but it needed to happen.
Funny times with Elder Estrada: Being with Elder Estrada is great. He's a jokester and it's pretty funny at times. This past week we were leaving a house and he started singing the Macarena. He asked if I knew the song and I said I did. He was completely surprised that anyone in America knew the song, and that was confirmed by me doing the dance really quick. Go stake youth dances. It's also been fun because while we listen to hymns and songs I'm working on translating the lyrics into spanish and so a lot more hymns that he can sing along to are making sense to him. Fun fun stuff.
The Work: Everything is picking up by a ton. People are continuing to come to church and sacrament meeting in the Lincoln 2nd ward, for fast and testimony meeting, was fantastic again. A few people returning to church bore their testimonies, along with great hymns, and a reverent passing of the sacrament made it fantastic. We got 3 new investigators in that ward this past week, showing the new tools that we have has fired up the Stake President even more, along with the leaders throughout the stake. Our Ward Mission Leaders are doing well, Spanish Branch is growing, and everything is just picking up. When we exercise faith, work out of Love, and are obedient, God blesses the work to move forward. That is true whether it be here in Idaho, or in Georgia, or any other part of the world. This next week is pretty exciting, because for our mission tour we have Elder Dube of the Seventy coming.
Thanks for the prayers that are said for me. I feel them pushing me forward.
The Fullness of the Gospel is here.
Love,
Elder Baker
